| When you own or ride horses, it's up to you to do everything
you can to keep your horse comfortable. This includes removing the dirt
and grease from the inside of your horses bridle, otherwise these can
cause rubs and sores.
This also in turn goes for the cleaning of your numnah.
It's advisable to clean the bit after every use. If it is not properly
cleaned, then it would be like us using dirty cutlery. |

To Clean Your Tack;
1. Get warm water and two clean sponges
2. Dip one sponge into the warm water, wring out the excess and clean
the bit, then clean all the leather work on the bridle ( do not over wet
your tack)
3. Leave the tack to dry
4. Get your other cloth (it's always good the keep the cloths apart as
saddle soap on the horses bit will taste horrible), dampen the sponge,
again don't over wet it, then rub the saddle soap on the sponge, and rub
the soap over all the leather work.
To clean your saddle you need to repeat the process,
To clean the Numnah and girth, it's advisable (especially when the horses
are moulting) to brush the hairs off after every use, and to wash them
regularly.
